Valyo brings additional fintech and asset management expertise to the Board of Directors

Baden, 16 December 2020. Valyo, the digital capital marketplace active in the Swiss bond market since 2019, is strengthening its Board of Directors: two proven industry experts, Manuel A. Thiemann, Partner and CIO at Fintastic AG and Member of the Board of Directors of Inventx AG, and André Ullmann, Managing Director at AXA Investment Managers Schweiz AG, were elected to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of Valyo AG on 15 December 2020.

With Manuel A. Thiemann and André Ullmann, the fintech start-up Valyo gains additional industry expertise in the areas of fintech and asset management. The board will continue to be chaired by Werner Leuthard, Raiffeisen Switzerland. Manuel A. Thiemann (1977) is a proven fintech and digitalization expert who completed his Master of Computer Science at ETH Zurich. As founder and CTO of HypoPlus, he built one of the first online marketplaces for financial products in Switzerland and successfully sold the company to Since 2016, he has been a member of the Board of Directors at Inventx AG, IT partner for leading financial and insurance service providers and, since 2018, partner and CIO of Fintastic AG, digitalization for financial service providers.

André Ullmann (1962) is considered a proven asset management specialist. After studying engineering at ETH Zurich and working at Oerlikon-Contraves, he joined Winterthur Group, where he built up his expertise in asset management and investment in various management functions and in extra-occupational training to become an Executive MBA at the IMD Business School and a Certified Fund Officer IAF. He has been Managing Director of AXA Investment Managers Schweiz AG since 2007 and a member of the Board of the Asset Management Association Switzerland (formerly SFAMA) since 2008.
